Program: what to expect?
The central theme, TSO's and their involvement in emergency response planning and evaluation, will be highlighted by relevant presentations, workshops and lively discussions. Of course, there will be plenty of time to meet and greet other TSO’s!
The event starts on Thursday May 30th in the morning with lectures and workshops and ends with a joint dinner in the evening. On Friday May 31st in the morning, site visits to two different tunnels in Lyon are organized. More information about the site visits will follow in the upcoming newsletters!
Venue and hotel recommendation
The venue of the TSO Forum in Lyon, France is easy to reach by train or plane. The venue was offered by CETU (Centre d'Études des Tunnels).
The TSO Forum team will stay in the **** Carlton MGallery Hotel which is recommended. It is closely located to the metro stations Bellecour and Cordeliers.Until the end of February there will be a limited amount of rooms available with a discount. The Cosy room will cost you €230 per night for single occupancy, breakfast included. If you would like to stay in this hotel, send an email to Dina.GHRIBI@accor.com and mention the TSO Forum 2024.
Of course, in the city centre of Lyon there is plenty of choice in finding alternative hotels.
Fee and membership for non COSUF members
Tunnel Safety Officers and Tunnel Managers appointed according to Directive 2004/54/EC as well as emergency services and all COSUF members are welcome to join the event.
ITA COSUF members can take part in this forum free of charge. Food and drinks, transfer to site visit, and the joint dinner on Thursday night are included.
Not an ITA COSUF member? Then we ask for a fee of €350,-. Besides an excellent event, we offer you a membership of ITA COSUF for a period until 2026. The membership grants you to you take part in other ITA COSUF events and join the activity groups. Here you can find information on the benefits of being an ITA COSUF member.

We are pleased to announce that the 7th European Tunnel Safety Officers Forum will take place in Lyon (France) on May 30th and 31st 2024. The theme will be: TSO's and their involvement in emergency response planning and evaluation, from concept stage through to operations.

THE CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS IS NOW OPEN!
Do you have a proposal (or do you know any one for us to contact) to contribute with a topic that fits the theme TSO's and their involvement in emergency response planning and evaluation, from concept stage through to operations? Then take the chance to be an active part and strengthen your network in the largest European community dedicated to tunnel safety!
Areas of interests to share your experience and best practise are among others:

Ongoing maintenance/training of emergency response services
You are welcomed to contribute with a lecture or presentation, with a workshop or play an active role in a panel discussion. Another good option would be presenter in a TSO “teaser webinar” we plan to organize before 30-31 May 2024.
